The history of the Landgasthof Vogelsang
The roots of our country inn go back for more than four generations.
- the first known mention dates back to 1872 as then called "Zum König" was owned by Ludwig and Philomena König
- starting in 1936 Franz and Kreszentia König managed the inn
- 1968 they handed the inn over to their daughter Christine, who led the now called "Gasthof Vogelsang" together with her husband Alfred Vogelsang
- during the 1970s a recurrent dance event announced as "Tanz bei Fred" was well known in our area

- in 1983 the inn was completey rebuild
- since 1986 Egon and Christine Hammer, née Vogelsang, lead the family business
- 1987 they furnished the first guestrooms
- three years later the small hall was renovated
- in 1995 the complete basement was reconstructed incl. all sanitary installations and a room for our sporting marksmen
- at the end of the century, in 1999, the large hall was redesigned and the facilities were enlarged by the meeting room and the winter garden

- in 2003 our wedding barn, an original barn, was rebuild on our ground and the beer garden was landscaped
- in 2006 front-desk and bar were modernized
- the following year the ceiling in the hall was renewed incl. the complete lighting
- since spring of 2008 five additional double rooms are available in an extra guest house where you really can relax without any interaction to other events in our house

- in early 2009 thermal insulation was applied to the hall to reduce enviromental pollution
- at the same time a wheelchair ramp was build allowing handicapped people having easier access to restaurant and hall
- since early 2012 another guesthouse offers additional double rooms
to the top
